01Weekday afternoons
Most groups run at 4, 5 or 6 in the afternoon, Saturday to Wednesday or Sunday to Thursday depending on the sport. The advantage is rhythm — the same day every week — and the cost is that a tired child after a full school day is a harder child to coach.
02Saturday mornings
Karate, basketball, roller skating and badminton all have Saturday groups, starting at 10 or 11 in the morning. A child is fresh, a parent is not rushing, and the session is often the best one of the week.
03Which sports train on which days
Saturday, Monday and Wednesday: football, basketball, karate, roller skating, badminton. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday: gymnastics, taekwondo, volleyball and the girls' football group.
04Twelve sessions or eight
Twelve a month is three a week; eight a month is two. Families who are stretched on weekdays often take the eight-session package and use the weekend group.
